The last days were really relaxing as in Austria we had public holiday on 8th of December. This year this was a Thursday. In my company we have all bridge days free as well which leaded to the nice effect that I had vacation from Thursday to Sunday.
So we took the opportunity to make a short travel to Czech Republic. In this view days we visited Prague (from Thursday to Saturday) and České Budějovice(Saturday only). Who is we actually - well usually the most of the time its only us, meaning my husband and myself, but in this case 2 friends joined our short trip.
It was really nice in Prague. We did a lot of sightseeing - we visited the Prague castle, city hall and many other famous places there. In addition we took the opportunity to stay many times at the Christmas Markets to drink some punch. The markets are really snuggish and the atmosphere was very Christmassy.
Afterward our stay in Prague we drove to České Budějovice which is really famous for their brewery. Unfortunately I am not really fond of beere. But the others really liked it.
So if you have the opportunity to go to Europe once a short side trip to Prague is recommended. But to be honest 1 day for Prague is enough. It is not necessary to stay there for 2 or even 3 days.
